NOTE: Second year timetables are organized by track and contain only courses conventionally associated to each track as per the MSc 2020/2021 Course Offer document. If you have submitted a modified study plan for one of the tracks, you should locate dates and times of your selected courses autonomously. Please, also note that timetables fr the 6 tracks may undergo some (minor) changes. Updates will be provided in real time through the News and Updates section of the  MSc website.

IMPORTANT: Update on courses schedules and teaching activities A.Y. 2020/2012

The entire teaching and admin staff involved in the Data Science MSc is working very hard to ensure an excellent and high quality first semester. Preventive measures against a further spreading of the Covid-19 entail a massive effort of coordination and organization between all Departments involved in the MSc. 

First and second year courses of the MSC in Data Science will regularly take place over the semester from September 14th onward.

Courses Scheduleswill be available soon on this page and on the website of the Mathematics Department.

Teaching activities will take place mixing online and in class lessons. Detailed information for every course will be available on courses Syllabi on Esse3 from September 1st onward. 
Students are kindly invited to refer to syllabi and, in case more information is needed, to  each course’s teaching staff.

Update: Seminar Series as part of the “ICT and Law, Privacy and Security” Course

The seminar series organized in the context of the “ICT and Law, Privacy And Security” are confirmed and rescheduled as follows:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights, Laura Trevisanello (Hogan Lovells Studio Legale – Milano), 19 March 2020, from 4pm to 6pm;
  • Competition Law and Big Data, Massimiliano Granieri (University of Brescia), 18 March 2020, from 9am to 12pm
  • How to get started with the research data management plan,  Marisol Occioni (University of Venice), 25 March 2020, from 9am to 12pm.

All events will take place online through the ZOOM platform. Everyone interested in participating should contact prof. Paolo Guardavia email (paolo. guarda [at] unitn.it ) to get all necessary information to participate remotely.

Update: Seminar cancellation

The seminar Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rightst by Laura Trevisanello (Hogan Lovells Studio Legale – Milano), which was orginally scheduled to take place on 4 March 2020, is cancelled for the time being.

A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.

The MSc in Data Science of the University of Trento and Fondazione Bruno Kessler is launching a seminar series as part of the Course “ICT Law and Privacy and Security” :

All events will take place from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. in Room 12, Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Trento, via Verdi 26.

2nd Euregio Data Science Summer School, Innsbruck September 9-11, 2020

Consider applying to the 2nd Euregio Data Science Summer School which will take place at theUiversity of Innsbruck, 9-11 September 2020.

This summer school brings together students, researchers and professionals from different fields to explore the challenges and latest developments in data science. The summer school is structured like a boot camp, the aim is to get a broad overview of the complete data science workflow in order to better implement your own projects. It is addressed to:

  • Post-graduate students (Master and PhD students) who want to develop their data analysis skills through modern data science methods.
